It may not seem like much now, but back in 1994 when dial up was all the rage, there was a little freeware program called Cthugha - or better known as the oscilloscope on acid.
Cthugha was the first audio visualizer meaning that it would take the music playing on your computer and create CG (Graphics) to dance alongside the music.
