Go is an ancient game originally from China where it goes by the name of iGo and later popularized in Japan. In Asia it is more popular than Chess.
As there are billions of possibilities and the nature of a Go board is non-linear, it has not yet been possible to create a Go computer that can compete at a competitive level. Currently the best Go computers can be rated at the level of a competent amateur.
